This thread is a discussion about Ultra thin and flexible video screen video.
This ultra thin video screen would not only allow the flat video boards seen in 2001: A Space Oddysey

(we're practically there with laptops and the associated notepads), but--to go in the other direction--'tech' versions of The Daily Prophet (of Hogwarts fame), with its moving newspaper photos.

..."in the other direction," that is, assuming that speaking of events in 2001 are looking into the 'future.'

Scientists have created an ultra-thin screen that can be bent, twisted and even rolled up and still display crisp text.Its material is as thick as three human hairs, displays black text on a whitish-gray background with a resolution similar to that of a typical laptop computer screen and its flexible up to this extent that it can be rolled into a cylinder about a half-inch wide without losing its image quality.
